Beach time ...

With the blessings of our backyard feathered friends, The Professor and I flew south this past weekend (just like our little hummingbirds!) for some R & R time in Anna Maria with family and friends.  (Probably more R & R time for me since The Professor has always got professorial work to do.)

But before I get to that, I just want to comment on the fact that should you have the desire to learn a new language, like Korean, please save your exercises while in the privacy of your home and not in the airplane seat in front of me.   Some chick thought that repeating over and over again Korean phrases ... out LOUD, mind you ... was a perfectly normal thing to do while flying.

Rude, Rude, Rude!

Okay, now that I have that off my chest, let's get to more pleasant things.  All the photos below were edited with Topaz.  I love using it when I have limited time to edit.  And when you have grandsons around, there is limited time!

Our grandsons were quite anxious to try a little fishing off our own dock.  Never mind the fact that there isn't much to catch here compared to fishing off the city pier above.

But they didn't much care.  They were patient.

You just never know when you might get a bite.

Which did happen once we started putting turkey hotdogs on their hooks.

Immediately they caught a little pinfish.

Lots of fun was had at sunset with hundreds of birds to stir up.

As you can see, so much beauty here.  And grandchildren and family and fun.
It's one of the nicest places to relax and watch nature unfold.

Thank you to all who so kindly come by and visit.

Your warm and kind comments are nicer than words can express.
I'm hoping as we settle in a bit, I can
catch up and see what you've all been up to!

Until later, friends!
