Oh, how fortunate your are!! We have our residents who normally use our birdbath, but today they're getting a very loooooooong shower! It's been raining since yesterday morning starting with only a drizzle and right now a good, steady rain. Earlier, we had a house finch come up and land on the anchor bolts for the hurricane shutters. Just a screw anchored into the brick of the house, so he was just perched up there and preening. Was gonna get a picture but, of course, he left before I could get back with the camera.
I love your bathing beauties!! And what a delightful post for the day! I do envy you your sunlight and warmth!! It's 57 gray and raining here in Seattle!! But what a ray of sunlight and smiles these bring!! Thanks!! Hope your day is going well, Reena!
You have some wonderful wildlife Reena I love the liitle Chipmunk and the little bird in the second image is so colourful. A lovely post... ps my Mum is called Rena
What a great collection of bird pictures. I love the first and the last, too - the first, because it captures the energy of birds bathing, and the last because it rounds off the set of photos.
Oh my ~ so many cute little birds and critters here today! Looks like they are all enjoying their bath. It's hot here today. A cool dip in a pool would be wonderful!!
My hubby stood behind my chair to see these bathing beauties! We haven't seen that solid bluebird! I wonder what it is! And the chipmunk photo is priceless! SO CUTE! Have you ever seen the movie, Enchanted? It's one of my favorites! And the chipmunk in the movie is adorable! ♥
Wow! You had quite the "parade" troop through your yard. Great shots of such a variety of birds (plus chipmunk). Such fun to sit and watch them. Have a great week. Mickie :)
That's some variety you have there. Love the goldfinch, they're one of my favorites. All beautiful shots. You must have first rate accommodations there to have so many guests :) The chipmunk shot is adorable. I just realized I haven't clicked on your follow button yet so I'm going to go do that right now :)
Great photos of beautiful birds, BUT THAT DARN CHIPMUNK IS JUST ABOUT THE CUTEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN. My whole family agrees with me! I'm loving your blog and just signed on...
to Anonymous ... I didn't have your email to respond so hope you stop back for your answer. That bird is a Catbird and it's true color is not blue but more grey. Occasionally there may be a blue haze but in this instance the reflection of the blue bowl and some of my editing caused the blue effect on him. The photo right after him is a juvenile catbird.

It's great you have a good view of the bird bath!
I just have to ask, what's in that water? :) Fabulous photos. Can't believe the variety of birds. :)
I want that chipmunk !!!
Beautiful 'bathing beauties'! If they all splash as much as the one in the first photo then you would have to keep replacing the water.
What a lovely selection of birds; and then suddenly that chipmunk, great. :-)
Nature is always beautiful.
Reena, your photos are exquisite. So glad you stopped by so that I could find my way here. blessings ~tanna
