landscape
the pups walk gingerly with each step
as an occasional
foot breaks through
the brittle surface
it does not make
for fast yard play
my dogs are stick eaters
they hunt and search
for any piece of twig
breaking the white
terrain
I have no idea
what twigs taste like
perhaps I should try one
they apparently are delicious
delicious enough to fight over
wars have been started
over lesser reasons

I do agree with Chris, my dogs were the same way when I lived in Montana! And we did have such cold, snowy winters!! Great capture for the day!! Hope you and the doggies have a wonderful new week, Reena!! Stay warm!!

aww...I wanted more pix of the pups.
adorbs ... and i wonder about catnip in the same way .. my boys will often 'fight' over a catnip toy .. those two are the cutest .. and damn it when are we going to get together ... its been WAY too long

Sticks are probably as good a reason as any I suppose--your two remind me of my old girls and the young pups down the street
