Summer's end

Oh summer
if only you would linger a bit longer
before autumn
inhales
your
sun-kissed
days

~ ~ ~

Have a safe and wonderful time
this Labor Day Weekend
my friends,

Here in RI we as so lucky to have excellent weather reports for this nice long weekend yet it still has that feel of autumn with its chilly nights and mornings and earlier sunsets...I plan to be out in it for certain! Hope you have the best of long weekends Reena!

LOL @TexWisGirl. So true!

I'm ready for fall! Living in the south can be brutal.

Love your image!!

Hope you have a great holiday weekend, too.

Our summer, that we expected to be as short as the spring -- a couple of weeks -- has turned into one of the long ones! And, nearly unheard of in Seattle, nearly six weeks without a drop of rain!! We are enjoying a sunny and beautiful fall!! Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend, Reena!!

What a gorgeous image to note the end of summer. I think we're all feeling the sadness of its end!!

I wouldn't mind summer going so fast if fall stayed around a little longer! :(

Oh summer, you are with me everyday.

365 days in a year.

Do you want some shares of these?

I'm reading so many farewell to summer posts (including one of my own semi-recently) and I'm realizing that it's the only season folks tend to bid adieu to. Who cares when the others end.. it's summer's passing we tend to mourn.

I must admit, I hate to see summer go and I hope it sticks around a wee bit longer!

Reena, I just moved my blog to WordPress. Same url: mockingbirdhillcottage(dot)com but if you follow through Google Friend Connect, you won't get an updated feed. Stop by and resubscribe through the RSS feed or via email.

Sorry, one more thing. I notice the blog isn't updating on your blog roll. You may want to edit it and use the new URL/feed.

I hate to say it, But I am so looking forward to summer being over. I am so tired of the 110 degree days we have in Vegas. I do hope you are enjoying your long weekend my friend.
