This was sunrise this morning in Rockport, Maine.... at 6:10 a.m. which is a time I never rise! But the light coming into the bedroom was glowing so beautifully, I had to get up and look out across the harbor. I knew I only seconds to run downstairs (which at my age, one does not run down stairs!) to grab my camera and get as many shots as I could. Within a minute, the golden glow was gone and I had hoped I had gotten at least one good shot. And I did! Straight out of the Camera ... the view didn't need any help with its beauty.
Of course, I do need help with my beauty, so I crawled back into bed to grab a few more winks of sleep. Hope you have a great Labor Day, my friends.

What a lovely sunrise that I think was worth running down the stairs to see no matter what your age or speed! :-) I hope you're enjoying your day!!
Such a glorious, golden way to begin the day -- any day!! Terrific capture, Reena! Yep, I don't run up or down stairs anymore -- in fact I'm doing good to get up and down at all!! Thank goodness for an elevator in the building!! Hope you have a lovely Labor Day! Enjoy!!
that's a nice wake-up call!
This really is a glorious shot. Perhaps I need to pay attention when the early morning light comes crawling round the edge of the curtains into my room.
Lovely capture, Reena! Happy Labor Day!

What a beautiful moment!
I remember waking up to a morning just like this - one that had me running for my camera (if you want to call it running, that is). I absolutely adore this image, Reena. Perfect just the way it is.
This is such a stunning sunrise :-)

Exquisite...like a painting.
Maine has many beautiful spots.
Holy moly Reena - looks like nature is on fire. So spectacular...
I often wonder what I miss with my camera because I'm not an early riser!
This image is glorious.

That is really cool, such an unusual color!

Well worth getting up for... I love the photo!
Beautiful capture!
Such beautiful warmth in this shot . . . it seems to glow with the promise that a new day brings.
Beautiful. And I love crawling back in bed on holidays. One of life's guilty pleasures.
How utterly delicious and golden!

This is the riches moment.
Which is full of gold.

Hugs Madi and mom
A beautiful sunrise, love that fall mist.
don't believe i have ever seen a golden morning! tremendous!
thank you for sharing.
We never got out of our Navy years habit of getting up extra early. I love it. We do get to bed rather early... But it's dark then, so there's no missed photo ops.
Well worth waking up for!
Glad you missed a few winks of beauty sleep for this beauty, but I'm sure you didn't need it. :) This is truly golden!
So beautiful ~ hope you got your extra winks! :)

Lovely!
totally worth jumping out of bed to capture this! glad you didn't miss it!
a very glowing mist and you were able to go back to sleep?
Really stunning rising. This time of year has the dandiest light, especially along the coast.
It almost seems so unreal. Gorgeous mix of mist/fog/color...a Folgers moment:)
bright and strong. Looks like a hot day to follow.
Oh so pretty! I can not wait to move out to country and be able to take unobstructed pics from my window or front porch. Too many houses and power lines around here :)
Hugs from Ohio,
I.
Thats called dedication when you crawl out of bed to take a picture. You got a good one....YAY!!
I'd have to get up for that sight too
the color is amazing!!
