Nature holds so many beautiful colors.
I often forget that fall can be so magnificent.
~ sigh ~
I'm going to miss waking up to this view.
Fall is signaling that winter is on her way.
Time for this ole girl to head a bit south.
The last several days have offered me the chance to
capture a few images before leaving Maine
in all its glory.
I was able to get up to Mount Battie on the weekend which is
always a delight with the changing days and seasons.
I'll miss my home away from home.
And I'll miss all my new little feathered friends who have come to rely
upon my handouts.
I hear it's suppose to be a rough winter.
I hope they are wrong!
Have a great week, my friends.
And Happy Columbus Day.

Such a beautiful place! But I don't blame you for wanting to head south with the birds now. Safe travels!
I can see why you'd miss that. Beautiful area of our country for sure.
Beautiful!!! I know we'll be seeing wonderful images of your winter home, though!
something tells me you are going to find plenty of great scenes to shot down south too.
It is such a beautiful place indeed, Reena! I would miss it, too, but if it's going to be a rough winter, I'm sure you'll be glad to be in your winter home!! And I'm also sure you will have more wonderful photos to share with us! Have a great week!
It must be difficult to leave something so beautiful...
So much beauty ~ I can understand your missing this place. Hoping we can get together with D at some point. That would be nice.

What beautiful, beautiful images. The fall colors are spectacular and the blues are incredibly wonderful.
And where next on the agenda? I suppose back to Anna Maria. You have such a tough life. I'm happy that you do because I learn so much from your talent.
That first moody shot is wonderful. Nothing beats a New England fall!
you have such a gorgeous home away from home
Such dazzling blues and gorgeous colours.
Beautiful scene to wake up to Renna! I must admit that I love Maine but only in the summer! Gorgeous captures enjoy your warmer climate and safe journey home!
I bet your feathered friends are going to miss you feeding them. I hope for their sake that it is a mild winter.
I planted some miniature ornamental grass outside my house and the birds have been feeding on the seeds it produced for quite awhile now. I hope they save some for winter.
I can see why it would be so hard to leave here, Reena, It sounds like you had a wonderful time there.
Just yesterday, I heard the same about the coming winter. I hope they are wrong too.
Have a safe trip home.

Reena, you do have lovely views to wake up to. The fall colors are gorgeous. And like the birds you are migrating south. I hope the winter is not a bad one. I loved your photos and beautiful post.
I do hope they are wrong about having a rough winter!
I will miss your amazing photos from this piece of paradise and its birds but I anticipate some photos from my other favorite piece of paradise on Anna Maria and it's special birds:)

Gorgeous photos. I sure hope it isn't going to be a rough winter, but I fear that after last year, it might well be.

Such nice photo's. I also hope we do not have a bad winter.
Gorgeous images as always.
I hear the winter is going to be rough too. Bummer! Beautiful photos!
Have a safe trip! We're here in Oregon until December -- we'll definitely see some fall, maybe some rainy winter before heading south. The Autumn pictures here where you are now are beautiful -- I imagine it's hard to pick the exact right moment to fly South.
those views are amazing!!
Stunning pictures ~ The first sign of frost is upon us ~
Safe travels ~
Oh my.. What gorgeous photos. I spent the a day in Portland,ME and it was gorgeous. It rained the day we were there but that didn't slow us down. We still walked most of the city. So pretty..
