Today I'm finishing up our packing for Portugal. The weather today in Philly is a bit cloudy and chilly. Strange turn for mother nature from the recent heat wave. But I'm not complaining.
Sounds like it's going to be a bit chilly in Porto with evening temps in the 50's and days in the high 60's.
The above picture has nothing to do with Porto. I just wanted to share Venice with you. Cause it's my blog and I can do that.
If you ever get the chance to go there, make sure you wander around the back canals. There is a lot to see but what I enjoyed the most was getting off the regular tourist route and exploring, stumbling upon scenes like above.
The city is amazing and slowly deteriorating into the sea. Glad I don't own any real estate there!
Now off to finish packing. How are your spending your Sunday?
Linking to Your Sunday Best.
Until tomorrow friends,

I wandered those back streets in '76 and have been dying to go back ever since. I'm so afraid it will sink before I can.
Hey Reena. We watched The Tourist last night and it brought back many wonderful memories of this totally amazing place... *sigh*

Thanks for Venice. It pains me a bit every time I see it in photos, because I was very close to going when I studied abroad, it was our last excursion. But I was out of cash and didn't have the fare to cross into the city. I was too proud to ask anyone for it, and so I sat in my dorm room while everyone else went.
Ridiculous, no? One of the regrets of my life. BUT, I believe I would get far more from a visit there now in my 50s, than at 19.
Beautiful shot!
