B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! And, how true. What we humans must remember is that we change with the seasons. Now's the time for sweet reflections and hibernation. Lovely post. Cheers!!
I love the sound of the ospreys when they are circling high overhead....between their nest perch and the river. The first pair nested about 17 years ago on a bank of lights above the high school football field; when they left in the fall, the nest was moved to a platform above the lights. Now there are nesting platforms all through this valley and the next. Finally, the young one(s) have migrated---two or three weeks after their parents went south. They'll be back in late March. I'm sharing your poem with my sister, whose classroom window provides a view of the oldest osprey nest in our area.
I will have to google the Osprey sound. This photo and poem are stunning. I also looked over your last few posts... whew, such beauty can be found here, it takes the breath away.
When I was a teenager and would spend 2 weeks at the shore in the summer, the morning of the last day I would go to the beach and look out at the water, and get really melancholy, hating the fact I had to leave. Reading your post today, I got that feeling again. Great writing.
It is a sad time because it won't be long for me before the snow is on the ground. For the time being though we get to enjoy the amazing colors of fall! Hope your doing well.

Reena...I shared a link to your blog post Osprey Cry on my Facebook page! ;-)
I love the painterly image and the poem! Wonderful work.
This time of year always inspires a bit of sadness.
Both image and poem touch the heart, gently and beautifully.
I really enjoy the colours of this particular photo. Thank you.
Hardest time of the year for those of us who love both the big and the small birds. Lovely lighting for photography but few birds to capture.
Beautiful words ... Beautiful capture!
Hoping you have a lovely week Reena.
Perfect image- nice sad, but beautiful words.
Sweet photo work, equaled by a beautiful collection of pearls. Both a visual treat.
Such a beautiful photo and equally beautiful words. Enjoyed both very much!
Sad to say good bye. As one thing ends another begins....
Your poem about endings and beginnings is wonderful - as is the dreamy photo.

Wow! One fantastic photo accompanied by a beautiful poem! Multi-talented to say the least! Great post...

Beautiful words, and this photograph is amazing, Reena!
That photo is amazing, and the words reflect the somberness of autumn. Beautiful!
