A flasher at the beach ... warning: R rated!

Yesterday afternoon, The Professor and I decided to take a stroll.  We saw this path toward the beach and it looked so lovely, we decided to explore and see where it came out.

Beautiful, isn't it?

Well, imagine my surprise as we approached the end when we were suddenly accosted with this!

a flasher!

The Professor quickly shielded my innocent eyes as the offending culprit suddenly dashed away.

Shaken and distressed, we went to the local Animal Shelter to report the offensive act of exposure.

The next day, the authorities called us and asked if we could meet them on the beach to identify a possible suspect.

The bird being questioned was indignant at the accusation.

Nevertheless, they had him pose to the right .......

and then to the left.

But he refused to spread his wings asserting that he wasn't that kind of a bird.

Besides, he stated, a crowd had gathered and there were women and children in the audience.

Although he looked very similar to the offender, we just were not confident enough for an arrest and he was free to go, mumbling how us beach goers think all herons look alike.

Later that night, we returned to the beach for our nightly ritual.  As the sun set in the west, we knew that justice had not prevailed, the culprit was lurking somewhere in the shadows, ready to strike again.

P.S.  And if you REALLY thought I would post something R rated ...
well,
I'm just not that kind of girl.
