Kickin' back ...

Our little retreat in Anna Maria continues.  Spending time with grandkids and friends leaves little time for much of anything else except for a gazillion photos.

Just a few of our typical days ....

morning coffee on the dock ....

visits to the beach with noisy birds ...

a little kayaking ...

 some sand digging ...

a little bird watching ...

and then, there are sunsets ...

and more sunsets ....

~ sigh ~

The sunsets and birds are just stunning! And the boys building the Sandcastle, the way the light is, everything here is so beautiful.

Breathtaking sunsets, gorgeous beach, beautiful birds, your grandchildren and sandcastles -- sounds like paradise here on earth to me! I'm so happy you're able to enjoy so many lovely things, Reena! And what lovely memories your beautiful photos will bring you during the dull gray of winter! Fantastic! Enjoy!

Would you change sunsets for anything in your life? I think they are the one thing worth photographing. I only wonder why I don't have a similar attraction to sunrises...

That right there is a picture of my ideal day! (Of course I'd substitute grandkids -- or great-grandkids -- that I actually know. (Yours are adorable, but they obviously have wonderful grandparents already ;>)

PS: I had to Google Anna Maria -- even though we spend part (most) of the year in Florida now, I didn't know this place. And now I can't wait to go there!

BEAUTIFUL sunsets Reena. One of the joys of photography as a hobby is it's portability, when there's no time or space for any other hobby, you can still take your camera and "play".

gosh the color in your pictures is so crisp...i try to pic a fav and it is near impossible...the yellow reflection in the fist is like gold...the one with the kayak inviting...

Hello,
I visited your blog today - I saw you on 'House of Hawthornes.' Your photos are so pretty, colorful, and full of life! As I was scrolling down, I noticed the Hummingbird post. The Hummingbird holds a special place in my heart. In fact, I did a post about them. Me and my daughters started a new blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would really enjoy coming back to visit with you and seeing all your unique and beautiful photos. I hope to hear from you, and have a lovely evening.
