But before I get to that, I just want to comment on the fact that should you have the desire to learn a new language, like Korean, please save your exercises while in the privacy of your home and not in the airplane seat in front of me. Some chick thought that repeating over and over again Korean phrases ... out LOUD, mind you ... was a perfectly normal thing to do while flying.
Rude, Rude, Rude!
Okay, now that I have that off my chest, let's get to more pleasant things. All the photos below were edited with Topaz. I love using it when I have limited time to edit. And when you have grandsons around, there is limited time!
Our grandsons were quite anxious to try a little fishing off our own dock. Never mind the fact that there isn't much to catch here compared to fishing off the city pier above.
But they didn't much care. They were patient.
You just never know when you might get a bite.
Which did happen once we started putting turkey hotdogs on their hooks.
Immediately they caught a little pinfish.
Lots of fun was had at sunset with hundreds of birds to stir up.
As you can see, so much beauty here. And grandchildren and family and fun.
It's one of the nicest places to relax and watch nature unfold.
: : :
Thank you to all who so kindly come by and visit.
Your warm and kind comments are nicer than words can express.
I'm hoping as we settle in a bit, I can
catch up and see what you've all been up to!
Until later, friends!

Absolutely delightful captures Reena! I've never heard of Topaz her in Australia but your images are amazing - they have a wonderful appeal.
Enjoy your holiday and hopefully the return trip will be - un petit plus tranquille!
Ohhhh.....Loving the photo of the flock of birds!!!! Stunning!!
these are beautiful! what a fantastic edit program! LOVE the shot with the flurry of birds in front! WOW!!!
Great shots of special people. Those boys get long and lean all too quickly.
I love the high key look to those photos! To the girl practicing her Korean on the plane: Shame! And 30 lashes with a wet noodle. What is wrong with people?!
You NEVER cease to amaze me! Love this editing! Must - get!
Oh! My! GOSH! Each and every one of these is gorgeous!
Holy birds!! Look at all of them. Did it remind you of the Alfred Hitchcock Movie, The Birds?

Reena, you have the most incredible pictures. Now I gotta check out Topaz!
Your blog is always a delight. I love, love, love it. Sandy Keith
I've gotten behind myself lately. How does that happen? Love these shots and the processing! I need to check out Topaz!
I've been hoping for more Anna Maria photos! You know I love it but I do think we should be keeping this place a little secret:)
I never heard of Topaz either...if I don't have any time for much editing... which is almost always...I use Picasa. It doesn't do anything fancy but it is usually enough for me:)
Fantastic photos. Gorgeous.
I have seen photos edited with this and I think these have to be the best I have seen . I have to try it.
Beautiful shots - love the next to last one.
Oh my word! The pictures are wonderful, especially the last one, and the one with all the shorebirds flying around the grandchild, really that should be on the cover of a magazine, it is truly a work of art. Thank you fro telling us about Topaz. I looked it up on my iPad, but it is not an app, so I would need to purchase it somewhere I guess. Nevertheless, it only works if you have a very talented eye, I wouldn't know what effects to make and would really mess it up!
Wow! I love the processing. And the shots of your grandsons are really well taken. I especially like the last two - they are special!
Have a great week Reena! Looking forward to seeing more beautiful photos of your trip.
Wow! That photo with all birds! It's stunning! I love your humor: Never mind the fact that there isn't much to catch!
Lovely shots.
What lovely colours in all these shots. I love the bird-filled sky - just gorgeous!
Love this "fishing" post. Your patient grandsons fishing away. I think it is the anticipation of something that might happen.
My fave is the flock of birds...that's am amazing photo and the first grandson engrossed at the tackle box. Happy day to you.
Great shots. Would you look at all those birds, crazy!
Gorgeous shots of such beautiful children! Have a wonderful time with your family!
Your photos are always so carefully composed and that Topaz really adds an amazing effect to them!
Indeed, a nice place to visit, I'd like a mini-vacation right about now. My favorite is the 2nd shot, the HDR really adds punch to the tones.
the photos of the children are true treasured moments in time, they are fantastic and will be around for memories for the rest of their lives.
The one with the birds is almost surreal.
The Topaz effect makes those images seem like paintings. So i myself will be needing to check topaz out. Well done post and you folks really love the water, and it shoes in your photo's. Richard from Amish Stories.

LOL on Korean...Rosetta Stone is going to be the death of us all!!
Your grandsons are absolutely adorable. Nothing finer than to see young boys on a pier learning one of the great American hobbies.
Hugs Madi and Mom

Wonderful Photos. These things you can hold in your heart.
Wow. Don't know what you did with that editing program but it is really cool. But of course you started with the raw material of good photos from the first. What a beautiful grandchild! and fish. and birds.
Did you pick up a little Korean too?
Great pictures Reena, looks like a very enjoyable visit.
Those photos are gorgeous - especially the seagull one!
It looks like you are having so much fun :-)

glad to see you're enjoying the remainder of summer!
Catching up and everything about your last few posts made me happy. (Well except maybe for the language-drill lady.) Handsome grandsons you have there and how nice to get a good visit in such a lovely place! The birds and I are happy you left them in good hands with plenty to eat. (I really liked the titmouses? titmice? -- we don't have them here or in Florida, at least not that I have ever seen.
Wow. I love the birds (actually all of them)! This Topaz is stunning... I wonder is it a Photoshop feature or do I buy it separately? Looks like you are having a wonderful time!
Oh, I'm so envious! Beautiful....your use of the Topaz program is fabulous. Love those HDR images, especially.
Lovely shots, Reena. The processing effect sure give the images a painted quality. So colourful.
Holy cow look at all those birds. I could just hang out on your site all day.Loving your beach pics. I think I'm jealous I so love the beach :)
