I'm still chillin' down here in Anna Maria.
~smile~
Life is moving much slower now that the grandkids have left.
~sigh~
I miss them already.
I miss watching the agility of their young bodies playing in the sand and water.
I miss their constant lookout for dogs ...
... to say hello to and give a little love.
I miss their concentration
while eating ice cream cones.
I miss their fearlessness
and curiosity
of all small things.
Yep, life has slowed down a bit now that they have returned home.
I think it will take another week of sunsets to recover from all that joy.
~smile~
Hope your week gets off to a great start!
Later, dear friends,

nice pictures of your memories
Beautiful pictures to keep your memories alive and well, always! Delightful post and I can feel the loneliness -- I still feel it when my 4 kids leave after a visit and they are in their 40s!! but kids always to me and none of them have children of their own, so what's a gal to do? Hope you have a great week, Reena!

Great work.

The little lizard is so cute!!! Wonderful words and pictures about your grandkids, they can really teach us seniors a lesson if we are paying attention!!!
Nice shots of photos Guys, and I'm sure you really had so much fun! I hate lizard but they look so cute right!

Seasons of quiet and busyness go well together. Love your critter shots.
Awe, poor Reena. They will be a little older next time, awe.
That's the way it goes Reena, we love them to bits and will do anything for them, yet when they go, of course we miss them, but it is rather nice to be able to just appreciate the sunset without thinking of making dinner and their bed-time.
Such beautiful pictures and memories of what seemed like a fantastic time together. I'm sure they miss you to pieces too!
Great series love your sunset.
That sunset just caught my breath!
smiles...what wonderful pics...love the lizard...ha...you know they miss you as well...
What a nice collection you can reminisce from.
It starts with a day off... Columbus Day. That's a wonderful start, if you ask me. hahahaha
more stunning photos of your grand kids, all of them, especially like the flip flops
The swimiming days have come to an end, but at least you have images to remember those warm and sunny days. Until the next year. Richard
What fun and now its time to recuperate ...
Great photos and wonderful sentiments!
I'm sure grands are great -- but recovering from grands has to be as good.. right? :)
I'm loving all the vibrant colors!
All lovely shots but my favourites are the ones of the dog getting attention - priceless expression on his/her face! And the one of the flip flops near the edge of the pool.
Who'd have thought I'd find children even more beautiful than sunsets? Is that a newt?
Ahhhh, grandchildren ...
What joyful shots! And another whole week of sunsets .... now that's something to look forward to!
Absolutely lovely post...
The professor must be on fall break....Hugs Madi and Mom

It sounds like a little bit of heaven to me. Enjoy the down time
It is so sad when they leave, isn't it? You captured some wonderful moments there --the kids are so cute! Enjoy the quiet time!
Beauty and love to the fullest. I have always considered having young people around as the one recipe for staying young! Loving your photos as always. Especially the Slow Down sign, which looks as if it is especially there for the ducks :))
wow....you just described children perfectly !!
Beautiful images... many thanks for sharing.
There's no recovery from that week! Everything you did just becomes part of your wonderful-memory store. What a lovely time you had. Enjoy some more of the Florida sunsets -- that's a beautiful one -- but leave some for us when we get back.
Goodness you are living a sweet life at the moment. So peaceful and fulfilling. Love it!

Wow! Awesome sunset shot.
Life is so sweet.. I am loving your photos..
Hugs, Linda
i wonder what effect you used on these photos. the hands look almost burned. ice cream curls is so soft like when they smeared vaseline over the lenses in the old days. great images.
I'm sure you made some great memories. They are such cute kids!
Hi Reena, It is sad but I am sure you have lots of great memories from your time together. I enjoyed the photos and the gorgeous sunset.
Grandchildren are WONDERFUL! Funny, I heard someone say that parents sometimes love their grands more than they love their own children. That maybe partially true. Can't wait to have some. Great pics reena! Cheers!!
I hope to one day have grandchildren. I love my steps, but I hear it's not the same. You have some lovely hdr photos here!
love these photos - I know you had a wonderful time! (what great curls one of them has!!)
So much fun! Makes me miss my bunch! ♥
