I spent part of my New Year's Eve day replacing my 2 year old MacBook Pro's hard drive with a new 1T SSD (solid state drive). ~~ Oh my, what a difference.~~ It's like a brand new machine!
Happy New Year to me!
New Year's day brought a clearing
and the sun kissed the frozen landscape.
I was able to persuade The Professor to drive me around
to capture some of the surrounding beauty.
He's such a good sport with my 'STOP HERE' and "BACK UP' commands.
Of course, one has to be careful as to not to scare
the bejesus out of the driver!

Of course all that driving
on icy roads and zero temps ....
......required a stop in a popular restaurant in Camden.
Cappy's Chowder House is so busy in the summer with tourists,
we usually avoid it at that time.
But in the winter ... it's a great place for some
of their awesome clam chowder and hot biscuits.
Yum!
That's a wrap for now, my friends.
Just a quick hello and a big THANK YOU for all your
wonderful words and images throughout the year.
The snow is coming down more heavily now,
and the house feels cold.
I need to go put another log on the fire.
Here's to a happy, healthy and rewarding 2014
filled with many many
new
adventures and discoveries
for all of us!

Even with the storms, you are in such a beautiful place to enjoy winter! These photographs are really beautiful, Reena.
Congratulations on your new HD. It definitely does make a difference.
I wish you all the most wonderful things in 2014.
Absolutely beautiful photos. Almost makes me want to be there - if it was warmer!
Happy New Year.
Lovely images! Happy New Year to you and yours!
You make cold look so darn beautiful. Happy New Year.
Hello Reena - You look so happy, you made me smile, too. (Well, I might have already been smiling at your chilly images.) I wonder if I need a new hard drive - my computer is definitely getting slow. I don't like to even think about it...
Hi Reena... It has been some snowy, icy covered, cold weeks and it continues!!
We still have a lot of ice on the trees here in Lisbon, hoping tonight's weather doesn't cause power outages!!
Your photo's are lovely as always!!
Nothing like the beauty of winter at the coast, for the hardy that is !! : )

Adore the first photo! You could use adobe photoshop and turn it into a watercolor! I also like the ropes around the posts. Cool!
A lovely way to see out the old year Reena. You look so vibrant in that last shot. Suddenly stopping on icy roads can be interesting if not hair raising at times. So good to have an obliging driver who probably enjoyed the chowder as much as you did.
Loved the clear light you captured and particularly that second golden glow on the natural wonders.
I sincerely hope your year will be full of wonders you could not even imagine!
Oh wow, these are all wonderful photography. The sharpness and the colors are just soooo perfect. It is with photos like these that I learn a lot. Thanks for sharing.
A lot of snow and adventures I see!

Always love your photos. These are just beautiful! Stay safe and warm, this next storm looks like a big one!
These are such super winter images.
