this boardwalk
this view
this solitude
In case you were wondering, all these photos were taken in Anna Maria, Florida,
a favorite destination of The Professor and myself.
Ssshhhhh!
Don't tell too many folks about the island.
We want it to keep its
old Florida charm!
Have a wonderful weekend Holiday, my friends,
and celebrate with care!

I live 2 hours north of this island and have yet to visit. A very good blogger friend of mine is very blessed to actually live there ;)
I just googled this island - now I shall add it to my list of must see places! That last photo - wow, what a place to sit and just enjoy this beautiful world.
Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend.
I am going to Goggle that island and go there every chance I get.....but don't worry, I won't tell anyone else about it either.. it'll just be our secret.

That looks absolutely glorious!
those are beautiful (and quiet!)
That looks so amazing! I'd love to be sitting in those chairs - your photos are exceptional!
I agree shhhh!
I knew from the first photo where that was!
You have captured it perfectly
Now I'm longing for it, too! Actually, I think I long for it all the time - or something (anything) similar! My in-laws live near Pensacola and I'm aching to go hit the beaches near there (and see them, too, of course!)
Oh my! It looks especially inviting from here in the cloudy, drizzly Pacific Northwest, where we're still wondering when summer will fully arrive!
Ou yes come to mama:) This belongs to section dreams in my head. You are so lucky and I can be honest and say I ENVY you for this.
Beautiful shots.. we do have some of the
best getaway places in the US ....
Have a Happy and safe 4th !!
Oh, what gorgeous colours! And all that beach to yourselves. What bliss.
Simply put...STUNNING!
LOVE the effect you used on these .. made my mouth water ... color does that to me, I know, TMI ..
You can count on me to keep my mouth shut...such peaceful shots!
Awesome! Hope you get to go back soon. It looks wonderful. :)
The colors are phenomenal here. I understand why you would want to keep this place a secret. I'm so there...in my mind. :)
I'm longing for some solitude as well.
I am enjoying reading your blog, your photography is great...
i just came over from Cozy Little House.
have a great weekend
It looks so beautiful there.
What gorgeous scenery! It sounds nice to visit a beach that's not so crowded like the ones we go to.
... like beautiful paintings. ; )

I'm so happy to be able to spend the summer right by the sandy beach! Love the photography!
Happy 4th!!!!
Ahh, doesn't that look BLISS!
P.S. I loved the photos of all your gorgeous garden visitors! They're a treat.
There are many places in Florida if you like the ocean. I went, many times, to visit our son in Florida and he lived close to the ocean but I was never a big fan of the sitting on the beach. Maybe we went the wrong time of the year.
Heaven!! Beautiful Reena!

Oh, My Heavens!!!!!!! I thought I recognized that boardwalk! My husband and I had a house right there on Jacaranda! Right across the road from the beaches! I sold it about 5 years ago after my husband died. I sometimes wonder if I sold the wrong house but I am truly a northern girl I guess. The property on Anna Maria had been my husband's parents who had moved down there and built about 45 years ago so you can imagine it was really private back then!!!!
