Life is good today

Nothing is more peaceful to me than that time of day
when the sun begins to say its goodbye.
~sigh~
Sort of like summer saying its goodbye.
Although I hear that some of you are very much looking forward to
those cooler temps!

My photos today were taken
from my deck in Maine over the last week where temps are dropping.

I have enjoyed watching the Osprey family teach their young
to fish, sometimes successfully, and sometimes not.

There is a resident heron who comes by every evening.

And of course,
the chickadees, finches, and cardinals
that have been slowly finding my newly placed feeder.

I also placed a hummingbird feeder out but so far
the little guy just does fly bys.
Maybe next year he will embrace it.

It's been a busy summer here which has left me little time to blog or take photos.
Good news is our construction project is coming to an end here in Maine.
The bad news is that that means I
need to begin some very deep cleaning.
Ugh!

But at least I'll have some nice views to distract me.
Boats in the harbor and birds on my deck.

Mmmm.... I feel a melody pop in my head!
To paraphrase the melody of "Toes" by the Zac Brown Band ...

"Boats in the harbor and birds on my deck,
floors need a cleaning, but oh what the heck,
Life is good today!
Life is good today!"

Have a great weekend, my friends!
