Restored ...

Yes, I'm still hanging out down here in paradise ....

Taking long bike rides and morning walks and basking in
evening sunsets with feathered friends.

It all feels so humbling sometimes

the beach with its ever constant tide,
sandpipers and the sanderlings
playfully darting in and out of the waves

pelicans in low flight across the horizon
with wing tips that appear to touch
the sea

I am full with the wonder of it all.

Restored.

And I am thankful.

What restores you, my friends?

Simple ordinary things restore my spirits-a visit with our childre and grandchildren, moments with my wife, my walk to the river.

a good book, taking photographs. Looking at other photographs like yours.

The world can be a simple world. I don't have to complicate it to enjoy the moments.

Walking on the beach restores me, too! I don't live close enough to walk every day but I look forward to our day trips. I am in awe when I walk...and very humble! ♥

It's the simple things for me as well. I don't live close enough to the beach either to walk there every day, but love it when I can. Taking photos, listening to music, reading, walking with my dog, spending time with my kids when we can -- we're spread out all over the country -- so not as often as I would like, but fantastic when can. I have so much to be grateful for and I am! Lovely post, Reena, as always!

we just came in from the back yard, where the temp says 82 and the breeze was blowing and we sat and watched baby sleep in the sun and Jake on the hunt for small critters. that restores me every time. you are so right, it feels like paradise out there today

So jealous! Dreaming about vacation by the ocean. Did not have a vacay since 2009... That would really revive me. Hopefully this fall :)

Lovely relaxing photos. There is nothing better than the beach in the winter at least in NC. I guess more folks come to FL beaches this time of year.

What restores me....after a long day a good book, cup of coffee/or hot tea while watching Madi thoroughly enjoying a sunpuddle. Her motor is running and there is just a puff of air every so often from her sweet pink nose/

I'm not sure what "restores" me, Reena. I know that I should be figuring that out, though!

Somehow I have missed your last few posts, but I have LOVED catching up with you and seeing your great pictures!! I think what restores me is much of what has restored you!! I could use some time on the beach with no worries!!

A little bit of sunshine always restores me. I spent my lunch break outside today enjoying the sun and the unseasonably warm temperatures

Boy I sure wish I could get shorebird shots like you do. I just got back from a trip out to the coast and ...none. Maybe I need to come out to Florida. Great pictures Reena.

Staying too long in the paradise, you will forget our Earth.

Calm western seaboards seem to have a calming affect on me. You should have seen the Pacific off the coast of Oregon, in fact an image made it into the paper. It was so calm it was like a bathtub, reminded me of Florida.

Good to hear all is well

Hi Reena..Happy for you...and your photos are lovely as usual!!
For myself there is a restoring feeling I get when I go out into the wood in back of my home in winter ..stop and stand there with trees tower way above me, and there is total silence!!

I love it when I get to go to the beach and snap pics of the birds. They are so active in their feeding rituals and just pecking at the sand.

Oh, I absolutely love this. I too, love the beach. I love the smell of the salty air, and the wind in my hair. I love the way my fiance smells after a day on the water. Yes, that restores me...

The hot tub at the end of the day (not bath tub, hot tub), solitude, reading poetry, looking at art and photography, listening to jazz, holding my new grandson. :-)
