Archive diving

We are wrapping up our stay here in Amsterdam
and will be heading back to the states tomorrow.

Typically, I would have been biking all over the place to take photos.

 But unfortunately on this trip,
it has been rainy and cold.

But no matter.
It is still a city that offers much.

From its parks, museums, canals and architecture,
I rarely find myself bored when visiting.

Unlike these well cared for Amsterdam cats
who seem a bit bored with their surroundings...

and undisturbed by my prying camera.

Which unfortunately did not get used much on this trip.

But I have no doubt that that will change.
Our next stop?
The sunny beaches of Florida!

Have a great weekend, my friends!

(P.S.  All photos were from our trip last year when the weather was superb!)

Even cold and rainy sounds nice to me:) Those kitty shots are my favorites. I do the same when travelling.....international cats caught on film
:)

I went biking all over the places in my village.

There was a different experience, compared to hiking.

Like your post title - sounds like an extreme sport! Like your pics too, no-one would know they were last year's...places don't change that quickly. Pity your trip this time was marred by the weather but it can still be fun exploring, even if you don't get the photos to prove it.

My niece and her family lived in Amsterdam for a few years and loved it there. Unfortunately, we could never get over to see them. Thanks for the lovely photos.

I am sorry that the weather did not cooperate, Reena, but I am sure it was nice just to be away for a bit. Florida sounds really wonderful to me right now. It's gotten very cold here in NY.

Have a safe return trip, and a wonderful weekend!
xo.

Your photos have tempted me to go back.

It looks like you found plenty to do and plenty of photo opportunities despite the weather.

Amsterdam is pure enchantment, would love to visit.
Great pictures.

We have returned from RV traveling since April 1, 2012.
Back in Florida for the winter. We are both born and raised in Florida.

Enjoy your stay in the sunshine.

Too bad about the less than ideal weather but it's fun to pull out older pics sometimes. And these sure are beauties.

I had the great pleasure of traveling to Amsterdam some 40 years ago. I'm sure much has changed since then, but it was a thoroughly delightful city then. Great photos. I love hoe blase the cats are :-)
