Once upon a time, I slept until 7:30 a.m.
Once upon a time, I traveled to far away places.
Once upon a time, I could go to dinner at any hour.
Once upon a time, I made my bed every morning.
Once upon a time, my house was orderly and smelled good.
Once upon a time, I took dozens and dozens of backyard photos of visiting critters.
Yep, once upon a time ... before these two:
Lucy
Harry
These little rascals consume my time!
Anyway, I just poked my head in here to do a quick post to let you know I'm still alive.
Barely.
Additionally, I had some images of a few of my backyard visitors that I captured before Lucy and Harry's arrival. All these critters are still coming around ... but my camera is gathering dust!
Hope you enjoyed as much as I enjoy watching them.
Nowadays, I spend my time watching Lucy and Harry.
As time goes on, I hope to get some better photos of them.
Right now, they barely hold still for anything, let alone a camera.
So thanks for dropping by.
Someday, I may actually be able to have time to drop by your place again!
Happy days,

It will take some time to find a rythm and the way back to normal life. But is funny to read what people do some time although they know the concequences. But I know the feeling, sometimes you can't be reasonable and do impulsive things.
Enjoy your two "kids".The photos of your critters are great anyway, love the squirrel lying there.
ha. the squirrel is sun bathing....smiles....he better watch out for the hawk...oh my...
and new babies (even pups) will def consume your time...
Yes, it's a new chapter in life when you have new babies. They are both so cute, I doubt you miss all the rest of your photo ops.
Hi Reena.... Oh my you do have your hands full don't you, but the joy and love they give back is infectious : }
I spent a week with my 12 year grandson, and two fantastic rescue dogs that she adopted!! She was on a business trip, and when she got back she asked "did Zack (grandson) give you much trouble"... me "Heavens no" but those two rascals Rollins and
Minnie take a lot of attention!! lol
You photo's are great..love the basking Squirrel!!
Enjoy
Grace
Harry should be named Ricky
Take those pups out for walks, I get somewhere and let my pups run with me.
The many squirrels in our back yard do that same kind of sprawl, even on the ground in the shade. Funny little guys.
They really are so adorable, Reena.
I know what you mean about consuming your time.
There was a time when I had 4. All puppies. It was a task, but would not have traded it for anything.
Happy day to you!
Ha1 Your two furry babies are sure keeping you busy Reena, they are pretty special. I bet things will settle down as they relax into family life, you'll be out there camera in hand before too long.. I hope so at least these images are so fantastic, how cute the squirrel pose :)and the colours of those tiny birds are exquisite.
I love your furry babies and your captures for the day are terrific, Reena!! The squirrel is adorable and those colorful birds are beautiful!! Enjoy your new family!! Have a great weekend!!
They are a lot of work but so worth it! I don't know if I'd do two puppies at the same time though. Nice to see your post, particularly the wildlife. I miss your photos.
You may have to do what I see others do--find a comfortable belt you can put long leashes on stinging the belt through leash handles. It keeps your hands free for a camera! Of course, you need to teach dogs to heel and sit.
i love their names … partial as i am to harry .. if we'd adopted a female she'd have been lucy! do the squirrels still visit or do the pups scare them off?
Funny, Reena! Sounds exactly like a new mother. ..and you have twins!
hi reena! you got puppies? oh, i am so happy for you. like being a new mommy all over again. you are right, they will keep you quite busy. good luck with them. im sure they will become best friends as well as woman's best friend. cheers!!
Lucy and Harry are so adorable.
I love the photos of the backyard critters too. Since we adopted Chloe, my squirrels and Blue Jays aren't so friendly anymore. She now owns the back yard.
What a pair of cuties they are :-)
And thank you for sharing you humming birds again, I adore them :-)
Your babies need you right now and you've got to train them up right. You will get back to doing what you used to do!
You will be back at your camera soon enough...perhaps with photos of your friends.
The dogs are gorgeous, I take it they are taking up a bit of your time!
The squirrel picture is priceless!
But how much more fun is watching those pups and all the fun critters than making your bed or cleaning the house?? Nope. No comparison. LOL!
Adorable!

I was just wondering how things were going with your puppies as I had missed this update. Sounds like you are a busy lady.
Oh yeah! You are going to be very busy for quite a while with those two cuties...
Love the photos! That squirrel made me smile.
Hi Reena! I follow Kate Young's blog, and came over here after she linked you in her latest blog post. I love your pups; they remind me of my sister's two dogs. What breeds are yours?
And how did you ever get such a great photo of a squirrel?! That has to be the best I have ever, ever seen!
I like your pics! And yes, I could see how your life would be a little more smelly and a little less ordered with two pups--but happy!
